Bichigiu - village in the county of Bistrita-Nasaud, in Northern Transylvania, Romania. First mentioned as being built around the Monastery "Sfantul Ioan Valahul" after 1523. The Monastery was destroyed in 1716 by the Austrian General Adolf Nicolaus Buccow.
